This is the place Mr. Degawa visited on his charging trip. It was also used as a filming location for Rurouni Kenshin.

I came to Manda Pit World Heritage Site. Old people are amazing When you look at the facilities and think about the era... I have nothing but respect. The entrance fee is cheap and you can get around in a reasonable amount of time, so I highly recommend going. Recommended!

Located in a plain area, the image of a coal mine has changed. Is it unique to Japan?

It's probably a historical heritage site, but just looking at the broken brick buildings doesn't give it much of an impact. I think it would be more enjoyable if you could go into the mine shaft.

I've been to Arao many times, but I've never been to Manda Pit, which is designated as a World Heritage Site, so this was my first stop. Due to time constraints, I didn't have time to go inside, so I took photos from the outside. There was a fee to go inside.

If you go on a tour, we definitely recommend asking for a guide. You can listen to the history and stories of each place in an easy-to-understand manner.
